Additionally, by becoming a Conditional Permanent Resident, I was able to maintain my ties to my home country while also establishing roots in the United States.

I plan to remain in the United States indefinitely. I hope to one day upgrade my status to full Permanent Resident status and stay in the United States for the long-term.

I have many responsibilities and commitments in my home country that require me to return to it. These include family and friends I need to maintain relationships with, a job or career I need to attend to, participation in my community such as volunteering or attending social events, and any important medical appointments I may have. Additionally, I may have financial obligations in my home country such as a mortgage or other monthly expenses that I need to return for.

Depending on the individual’s particular circumstances, these may include (but are not limited to): conviction of a crime related to immigration law or a crime of moral turpitude; conviction of multiple criminal offenses; past or current involvement with terrorist organizations; affiliation with gangs; involvement in prostitution or human trafficking; health concerns that could present a health risk to other people in the United States; failure to pay taxes; failure to obey court orders; and failure to obey U.S. immigration laws.

Yes, I have a cousin who has been living in the United States for over 20 years.

I am currently living in New York City with my parents. I am financially supporting myself by working full-time as an engineer. I also have some investments that I use to supplement my income. Additionally, I have some savings that I have accumulated over the years.

Since applying for Conditional Permanent Residency status, I have done my best to learn and adjust to the American culture. I have worked hard to learn the language and understand the customs of the United States. I have also taken advantage of local resources to help me find employment and become more integrated into American society. Additionally, I have tried to network with people who are already part of the American community so that I can learn from their experiences and become a more contributing member of the American community.

Yes, there are restrictions. If you have been granted conditional permanent residency, you may not travel outside of the U.S. for more than 6 months without seeking permission from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Additionally, you must always carry your Permanent Resident Card (green card) with you when you travel outside of the U.S. as proof of your immigration status.
